First Generation

         1. Henry PENDLETON was born about 1660. He died between 1727 and 1740 in Pasquotank County, North Carolina.

Henry Pendleton, of Pasquotank, will[1] dated March 18, 1727/8, proved 18April 1740; names daughter Elizabeth Woodley, wife of Thomas Woodley, daughter Mary Brothers, wife of John Brothers, daughter Sarah Reding, wife of Joseph Reding, daughter Ann wife of Thomas Davis, Grandson Henry Pendleton, son Thomas and son John.

Henry may have had a brother Thomas.  There is a will dated Feb 21, 1732 for a Thomas Pendleton in Pasquotank it names daughter Ann Knight, sons Thomas, Joseph, George and Timothy, Wife Sarah, daughter Elizabeth.

Henry and Mary Pendleton had the following children:

               2 F  i.   Elizabeth PENDLETON was born about 1680. Elizabeth Woodley daughter, wife of Thomas Woodley.

               3 F ii.   Sarah PENDLETON was born about 1682. Sarah Reding daughter, wife of Joseph Reding.

               4 F iii.  Mary PENDLETON was born about 1683. Mary married John BROTHERS, son of William BROTHERS and Sarah, about 1705. John was born about 1682. He died before Apr 1735 in Pasquotank County, North Carolina. (SEE BROTHERS and NEEDHAM FAMILIES)

               5 F iv.   Ann PENDLETON was born about 1685. Henry’s will call Ann, daughter and wife of Thomas Davis.

               6 M v.   Thomas PENDLETON was born about 1690. Henry Pendleton's will dated March 18, 1727/8, proved 18April 1740 calls Thomas, son.

               7 M vi.  John PENDLETON was born about 1693.Henry Pendleton's will calls John, son.
