Descendants of Richard FEW

First Generation

       1. Richard FEW was born about 1625 probably in England. Richard married Jane  WHITFIELD in 1650. Jane was born about 1630 in England. Richard Few or his son was named at the 12 Sep 1682 court[1], I do not know why. Richard was a land-holder in Chester County, Pennsylvania in 1689 with 227 acres[2]. Richard or more likely his son Richard is recorded in the Kennett MM Records.

They had the following children:

+          2 M        i.  Richard FEW was born on 26 Dec 1653.

               3 F        ii.  Joane FEW was born about 1655 in England.

               4 M     iii.  Walter FEW was born about 1657 in England.

               5 M      iv.  Daniel FEW was born about 1659 in England.

               6 M       v.  Isaac FEW was born about 1661 in England. An Isaac Few had a grant of land in Chester County, Pennsylvania containing 600 acres in 1702 near Peter Dix.

               7 M      vi.  Joseph FEW was born about 1663 in England.

Second Generation

      2. Richard FEW (Richard) was born¹ on 26 Dec 1653 in Wiltshire, Weedhampton, England. Richard married Susannah about 1680. Susannah was born about 1660. Richard or his father is recorded in the Kennett MM Records. This information is questionable, it is from the ancestry.com site on the Internet. Richard Few or his father was named at the 12 Sep 1682 court, I do not know why. Richard was made a constable for Chester about 1684 and in 1689 was on the list of land-holders in Chester County, and was one of the persons selected to purchase land for a meeting house. He probably had a son named Richard because there are later records for a Richard Few that are to late to be this Richard[3]. I think this is probably the Richard mentioned in the court records rather than his father.

They had the following children:

               8 F         i.  Susanna FEW was born about 1685. She died before 1728 in Chester Co., Pennsylvania. Susanna married Thomas OLDHAM[4], son of Thomas OLDHAM and Elisabeth SYKES, on 27 Jan 1704 in Chester Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. Thomas was born about 1680 in Wales. He      died on 16 Feb 1756 in Chester County, Pennsylvania. (SEE OLDHAM FAMILY)
